Why the date matters
Jurisdictions are transitioning on different schedules. An earlier administration can use a different format from a later one in the same jurisdiction.
Your jurisdiction is only half the answer. Choose both the jurisdiction and planned administration in Testify's live checker to see whether the study route is currently classified as Legacy UBE, NextGen UBE, state-specific, or pending.

Testify's live tool uses its exam-reference service, which is refreshed on a recurring schedule from official exam-format sources. The result includes direct source links so you can verify the controlling information.
It does not determine eligibility, filing deadlines, passing scores, local components, character-and-fitness requirements, or other admission rules.
Testify uses the exam path to separate Legacy UBE, NextGen UBE, and state-specific study assumptions instead of silently giving every learner the same bar-prep route.
Why does the administration date matter? Jurisdictions are transitioning on different schedules, so a state can use different formats in different exam windows.
What if the result says pending? That means Testify does not have a confirmed transition date in its current official-source reference. Use the official links in the live result and your jurisdiction admissions authority before planning around a format assumption.
Does a NextGen result mean every Testify activity is a NextGen simulation? No. Testify labels legacy-format MBE, MEE, and MPT material as foundational or transferable-skills practice when shown to a NextGen learner unless the activity itself is built to the NextGen format.
